Red Bull, Hadjar also in 2027
Isack Hadjar is increasingly close to confirmation at Red Bull also for the next season. The performances offered by the young French driver during this season have convinced the top management of the Milton Keynes team, who see in him the right profile to guarantee continuity and competitiveness alongside Max Verstappen. Only the official announcement is awaited, but the confirmation comes indirectly from Laurent Mekies.

Mekies’ words
The Red Bull team principal has spoken important words about the 2004-born driver. And even if he cannot officially announce his renewal, it seems done: “It is good news to finally have a second top-level driver after a long time,” these are the words taken from the Telegraaf. “It was one of our goals before the start of the season. Isack is achieving great results and has learned a lot from the team and Max.”
“Having Isack a bit closer is good news, also for Max. We have not talked about the future yet, but everyone can see that Isack is doing a great job. So we will make a logical decision.”

Hadjar’s growth has been steady race after race. Placed in a complex context, the Frenchman has shown he can learn quickly, limiting mistakes and taking every opportunity to bring points to the team. No one asked the Frenchman to be at Verstappen’s level (although some insiders ventured into overly enthusiastic comments about the former Racing Bulls) and Hadjar had the humility to learn from the strongest.
It must be said that #6 found a much simpler environment compared to his predecessors. Sergio Perez, Pierre Gasly, and Alex Albon are all drivers ranging from good to excellent, but alongside Verstappen they disappeared once the development direction desired by the Dutchman was taken. With the start of the new course in mid-2025 and the departure of Chris Horner and Helmut Marko, Red Bull no longer speaks only Verstappen’s language and wants to grow with reliable double feedback.
