Genesis presents its special livery for the debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans

A special debut

Approaching the 94th edition of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, which will take place next weekend, the Genesis Magma Racing team has unveiled the special livery of its GMR-001s. The Korean team, making its absolute debut in this historic race, will take to the track with a completely different look compared to that seen in the first events of this season, created with the support of the team’s technical partner, HEXIS.

A ‘volcanic’ car

Specifically, the design is inspired by lava (the central element of the Magma name) and the volcanic origins of the Korean peninsula. The car features a gradient that transitions from orange, located at the front of the Hypercar, to deep red at the rear. Colors that enhance a sense of increasing intensity, with the livery reflecting both the temperature of a high-performance engine and the acoustic shift of the Doppler effect when a car speeds by at full speed. Added to this will be white logos and details, which will replace the black and orange ones present in previous races.

The CEO’s words

“For the entire Genesis brand, design is one of the fundamental pillars – explained Luc Donckerwolke, CEO of Genesisfans have loudly expressed their appreciation for the Magma orange livery presented last year and, as always, Genesis takes into account the feedback of its supporters, turning it into reality with a bold evolution. Genesis’s global design department worked closely with the racing team to create a striking yet light livery for the most important race of the season. It is above all an artistic expression, where color and shape communicate Genesis’s unique performance identity.”
