Citroen is preparing to launch a new model inspired by the spirit of the legendary 2 CV. This was announced by the French car manufacturer itself: the decision to debut a new car that will draw inspiration from one of the most iconic vehicles in automotive history was made official as part of the Stellantis FaSTLAne 2030 plan. Citroen describes it as “more than just a simple reinterpretation”: rather, it represents a “new vision of democratic mobility: electric, simple, versatile, and highly desirable.”

Citroen revives the 2 CV
According to the French brand, this popular concept fits perfectly with Citroen’s positioning as a leader in electric mobility for everyone, offering greater freedom of movement and more value at an affordable price, while maintaining a strong identity and personality. Few details are known about this model so far: the company has announced that further information about this ambitious project will be revealed at the Paris Motor Show in October 2026.
