The Sprint Qualifying of the Canadian GP saw a great performance from VCARB and in particular from the rookie Arvid Lindblad, who in his first outing on the Montreal track took the luxury of entering SQ3 and qualifying in ninth position, the ‘best of the rest’ behind the unbeatable four top teams. A result born from the talent of the English debutant but also from the updates brought by the Faenza team which, evidently, worked quite well.

“I am satisfied with our Sprint qualifying today. The pace was better than expected and the team did a fantastic job – Lindblad commented at the end of the day – we brought a new update this weekend and it is clearly working well. It is a difficult circuit to face for a rookie, especially in a Sprint weekend, so I am really happy with our performance, even though there was still a bit of margin to exploit in SQ3. With all the interruptions in FP1, no one managed to complete a real long run, so it is hard to know exactly how things will go tomorrow. Tire degradation will definitely be an important factor, but tomorrow should be fun and I am ready to give my best“.
