The incident in the last lap of the Miami GP
The finish of the Miami GP was nothing short of hectic. Charles Leclerc spun out in Turn 3 while trying to stay close to Oscar Piastri’s McLaren in what was a fight for the podium.
The Ferrari driver damaged his SF-26 and completed the lap cutting several corners, a conduct that led to a 20-second penalty which dropped him from sixth to eighth place overall.
On the last long straight leading to the braking zone of Turn 17, Leclerc was overtaken by George Russell. The Monegasque tried to extend the braking and with the front right hit the rear left of the Mercedes driver.
