When will it be Ferrari’s time?
On the eve of Q3 in Miami, there was a lot of uncertainty about the possible poleman, an uncertainty that was certainly not experienced in the first three seasonal appointments. In the end, it was Andrea Kimi Antonelli’s Mercedes that prevailed, ahead of Max Verstappen’s Red Bull, Charles Leclerc’s Ferrari, and Lando Norris’s McLaren. Four different cars in the top four positions.
The somewhat disheartened look of Leclerc at the end of the session pushed many Cavallino fans to wonder: but when will Ferrari line them all up?
Leclerc does not hide his frustration
In an interview with F1TV, Charles Leclerc had a certain disappointment in seeing everyone making great strides forward, while Ferrari always remains among the top 3-4 teams, never having that spark to place ahead of everyone.
“As soon as you change something, even a small detail on these cars, you can see big jumps in both directions”, admitted Leclerc, adding: “Max and Red Bull brought an amazing upgrade this weekend. In Japan, I believe they did not reach Q3 and now they are on the front row, it’s impressive. We also brought a very significant upgrade.”

Then the small outburst: “It seems that now everyone is closer to each other. Yes, it’s exciting but I have to be honest: I just want Ferrari to be ahead. Let’s see how it goes tomorrow, we know our race pace is strong.”
Leclerc was not satisfied with his qualifying: “Compared to yesterday it went a bit worse, we were not good at predicting how we would find ourselves in qualifying and how the grip would increase. We did not evaluate these aspects well.”
