The positive memory of Miami
It is time for the Formula 1 teams and drivers to get back into action, who will battle for the first time this weekend after a month-long forced break due to the conflict in the Middle East. The stage will be the city circuit of Miami, where last year Williams was the protagonist of an excellent result: besides Carlos Sainz’s 9th place, Spanish driver Alex Albon did even better, finishing 5th under the checkered flag.

The right opportunity
This year, however, the start of the season has been quite challenging for the historic Grove team, which will try to recover starting from Miami after three negative races, closed with only Sainz scoring points in China with a 9th place: “I am ready to get back in the car after this early break that gave us the opportunity to review the start of the season and recover ground on some aspects we want to improve – said the former Ferrari driver – a big thank you to the Grove team for the commitment shown in recent weeks. There will still be a lot of work to do during the season, but this is a crucial moment to start making up ground. The circuit is unique, with a mix of high and low-speed elements and quick direction changes that reward determination. Points zone so far never reached by Albon, who will want to break this negative streak of results precisely on the circuit where he was a protagonist last season: “It’s exciting to be back in Miami after the early break. The team has worked hard in the factory and it will be nice to get back on track and test what we have worked on in recent weeks. The regulation changes introduced by the FIA will add an extra element of complexity to the Sprint weekend, so I’m glad FP1 sessions have been extended to give us a better chance to understand the changes. This weekend will be decisive for those who manage to master everything faster, so an interesting race is expected“.
