Ferrari returns to the race in the WEC
Ferrari won for the first time this season in the WEC at the 6 Hours of COTA. The Ferrari #50 of Fuoco, Molina, and Nielsen succeeded also thanks to the technical failure of the Toyota #7 just minutes before the checkered flag.

Antonello Coletta: “We achieved our first seasonal success at the end of a race full of twists and neutralizations. In the first three hours, victory seemed completely within our reach with the 499P number 51, then unfortunately there was a problem restarting from the pit-stop and from there the race became very complicated. In any case, also thanks to a bit of luck, because Toyota was already close to victory even if with a small margin compared to the 50, in the end we reached a great milestone on a track that has always seen us as protagonists, considering the three consecutive pole positions and the 2024 victory. We must be satisfied, it is proof that the team never gives up and we always try to bring home the best result”.

Ferdinando Cannizzo: “We leave Austin with a great result for the team achieved at the end of a complex and exciting Lone Star Le Mans. Our bad luck with car number 51 was repaid by a bit of luck at the end of the race, but endurance racing is like that, you have to be fast until the last moment. There were various situations that disadvantaged us during the six hours, especially with neutralizations at the wrong moments, and the problem during the pit-stop when an accidental error by Giovinazzi caused the car to shut off, and a reset was necessary. In any case, we achieved a great victory, and we will take home several points for improvement to continue fighting until the end for the championship.”
