MotoGP, Zarco sees the return
Great news about Johann Zarco. The French rider is one step away from returning to MotoGP after the terrible accident in Barcelona: the LCR team announced that the rider’s comeback is scheduled for the Aragón Grand Prix, on the weekend of August 30.

To allow Zarco to return to a MotoGP, the approval of the MotoGP medical team will naturally be required with a check-up to be performed on Thursday, August 27 at the Spanish circuit.

Zarco’s progress after the accident in Catalonia has been very rapid and allowed him to beat the times. The Frenchman’s goal was to return in a round between Misano (September 11-13) and Red Bull Ring (September 18-20), and even the owner of the LCR team Lucio Cecchinello expressed happiness to have Zarco on track “earlier than expected“.
The Frenchman has been out since the Catalonia Grand Prix held in mid-May in Barcelona, where he suffered a tear of the medial collateral ligament and the anterior cruciate ligament of the left knee. Together with his doctors, he chose a non-surgical approach. An approach that, evidently, worked.
