Still chasing victories
In the last Belgian Grand Prix, Max Verstappen took to the podium for the third time this championship, but in a season so far disappointing for the Dutchman of Red Bull, the appointment with victory has not yet arrived. Currently 7th in the standings, the four-time world champion has achieved two consecutive career successes at the Hungaroring (2022 and 2023), the circuit where the Hungarian Grand Prix will be held this weekend.

Competitive from the start
A race, the last before the summer break, which comes at a more serene moment for Verstappen, ready to face a new challenge on a completely different track than Spa-Francorchamps: “At Spa we had a positive race: everything went smoothly throughout the weekend and it was nice to reach 130 podiums with the Team. In Hungary, however, it is the last race before the summer break, so it represents the final sprint. It’s a completely different circuit, with a different layout compared to Spa, and we’ll have to see how everything fits together and make sure we find the right car setup. The start of the weekend makes a big difference and we hope to start strong immediately to be as competitive as possible. It’s exciting to see how we’ll perform there; in Hungary we always receive great support from the fans, so we can’t wait to go back.”
The ‘push’ for the first podium
Protagonist of a great comeback in Belgium, finishing 6th after starting from 21st position, Isack Hadjar will this time want to demonstrate the car’s potential from a more favorable grid position to aim for the podium, never achieved in 2026: “It’s fantastic to come straight to Budapest after such a positive weekend in Spa and carry this momentum with us. The car proved to be really strong all weekend and the result showed it. It was a shame to have to start from the back, but we made the most of our potential and now we approach this race with a clean slate. The Hungaroring suits us a bit more with its low-speed corners, so this should help us get the most out of our setup. The team and I have been working non-stop since January and, with one last push this week, we hope to reach the well-deserved break with high spirits.”
