The famous street circuit, with its close walls, represents a unique challenge in the calendar, which Leclerc knows how to interpret perfectly. And he could do so again this weekend, considering that among the streets of Monte Carlo you don’t need to have the best power unit, the biggest weak point of the SF-26. It remains to be seen how the new cars behave, more compact, light and narrow: aspects that team principal Frederic Vasseur is curious to observe this weekend.
Vasseur’s words
“Monaco is always a unique weekend and this year it will be particularly interesting with the new cars, which should offer very different sensations“, commented the Frenchman. “It is a track where qualifying, confidence and execution skills count even more than usual and where every little detail can make a difference“.

“For Charles it is obviously a very special race, at his home, in front of his people and a large number of Ferrari fans, and we know how much energy he gets from racing in these conditions. At the same time, our approach does not change: we must stay focused, build the weekend session by session and make sure to put both drivers in the best possible conditions to get the most out of the car“.
