How is Marquez?
During the Silverstone weekend, Marc Marquez did not hide that he has not recovered muscularly from the surgery on his right shoulder. The Spanish champion was counting on the summer break to make progress physically, but some muscles have not improved and this has created a new limit for the 33-year-old Ducati rider to adapt to. After finishing seventh in the British Grand Prix, Marquez went as far as to say that he was the cause of the faded performance, explaining that he still has a strength deficit in the long-injured arm.

The rumor
A very interesting analysis came from journalist Simon Patterson, in the podcast of the publication The Race, who had the chance to talk with several people in the paddock about Marquez’s physical condition. The Spaniard is now fourth in the world championship, 40 points behind leader Jorge Martin of Aprilia.
Thus Patterson: “Marc is going through a difficult time. Marc lies to us continuously, we know that by now, he regularly lies to us about his physical condition. He tells us he is fit even when he is not. He never attributes his performances to his physical condition.”
The English journalist revealed: “This weekend I spoke with some people close to Marc, in his entourage, who told me that the situation is not so rosy, that he still has many problems with his shoulder”.

However, Marquez tends to overlook the subject: “We spoke with him after the race and he made us understand that things are not going very well and that he is not at 100%. He is not even remotely at 100%, even though he says he still enjoys riding a motorcycle,” concluded Patterson.
