According to reports from the Spanish publication AS, in fact, Christian Gabarrini, Francesco Bagnaia’s current crew chief alongside Pecco since the Italian rider joined Ducati, will follow Bagnaia to Aprilia.
The four-year contract offered by Aprilia and accepted by Bagnaia and his management will be structured as a 2+2 agreement, therefore two two-year periods. For Gabarrini, this is not the first time in his career that he has left Ducati to continue following his rider. It had already happened with Casey Stoner, with whom he won in both MotoGP and Honda when the Australian left Ducati at the end of 2010 to join Honda HRC.
