Three Aprilias are ahead: those of Ai Ogura (Trackhouse team), Raul Fernandez (Trackhouse team) and Marco Bezzecchi (crashed at turn 11). Fourth position for Marc Marquez’s Ducati, with the Borgo Panigale manufacturer bringing several new features to the track, including a revised fairing, an aerodynamic appendix on the swingarm, and an updated front cowl.

16.10 – Quartararo (Yamaha) climbs the standings and takes fifth place – afternoon and overall – in 1’36.493. The Frenchman is 0″177 behind leader Raul Fernandez (Aprilia Trackhouse).
Focus on Marc Marquez’s best lap (Ducati), up to T3 the Spaniard is in line with the leader (0″023), but loses everything in T4 – as happened on Friday (+0″269).

12.20 – Crash for Toprak Razgatlioglu (Yamaha) at Turn 3. The rider who has completed the most laps so far is Luca Marini (Honda), with 30.

12.15 – Technical problems for Miller (Yamaha Pramac) at Turn 6: the Australian stopped on track.

12.10 – A look at Aprilia. Marco Bezzecchi is testing various components, including a front cowl with aerodynamic additions. Jorge Martin will make up for lost work from winter tests, trying out some components and also focusing on aerodynamic tests. Luca Savadori will continue testing work on data collection and verification of some parts. There will also be electronics tests, to test some new features already used by Trackhouse and now under consideration by the official team.

11.13 – Acosta (KTM) isn’t having it and breaks the balance, moving to the front in 1’36.734.

10.52 – The only one of the regular riders not yet on track is Aldeguer (Ducati Gresini), but it’s reasonable to think that the Spaniard doesn’t want to push after his femur injury this winter. The injured Vinales (KTM) is still absent.

10.50 – Second position for Acosta (KTM) in 1’36.817. Morbidelli (Ducati VR46) moves up to eighth.

10.40 – Bezzecchi (Aprilia) still leads, both in terms of reference time (improved to 1’36.769) and laps completed, a good 14.

[MOTO GP LIVE TEST] – An important day

Good morning dear readers of FormulaPassion.it and welcome to the live text coverage of the first day of in-season testing for MotoGP 2026. After the first four rounds in Thailand, Brazil, Austin, and Jerez, all teams will be able to test new solutions for the remainder of the championship with their regular riders. The session will be held at Jerez de la Frontera, where the Spanish Grand Prix took place over the weekend.
It will be an important day for Ducati, which has long targeted this date to find the best technical solutions to improve its bike and the riders’ feeling, in pursuit of Aprilia, the world leader.
