Next stop Monte Carlo
After the hard-fought race in Canada, which saw Andrea Kimi Antonelli win in a Mercedes ahead of Lewis Hamilton in a Ferrari and Max Verstappen in a Red Bull, the next Formula 1 event will be in Monaco on June 7th.
The Principality’s track remains a unique stop on the calendar and there is curiosity to see how the 2026 cars will adapt to the winding circuit full of history and glamour.

Is Ferrari the favorite for the Monaco GP?
In statements reported by the Germans from Auto, Motor und Sport, McLaren is certain: Ferrari will be the favored team for Monte Carlo, given the strengths of the SF-26.
Lando Norris said this in his post-race comments in Montreal and team principal Andrea Stella reiterated it: “Analyzing the GPS data, it’s clear that Ferrari is very competitive in corners. We also saw this in Montreal in the first sector and Ferrari loses most of the time on the straights. There aren’t many of those in Monaco: that’s why Lando is right to consider Ferrari the favorite for pole position in Monaco.”
Stella sees the Principality race this way: “With so many sharp braking points, drivers won’t have trouble recharging the batteries. Our McLaren adapts better to slow corners rather than medium or fast ones. Ferrari and Mercedes have an advantage in this area. I see Ferrari as the favorite, but McLaren should also be competitive – Monaco’s slow corners are extremely slow, especially in the second sector.”
