Antonelli on the attack
The Sprint in Canada was animated by the duel between George Russell and Andrea Kimi Antonelli. The English driver kept the lead at the start, but after a few laps the World Championship leader went on the attack.

Antonelli tried an outside attack in Turn 1, there was also a contact between the two that infuriated the Italian driver who was heavily reprimanded by Toto Wolff via radio.

Russell commented at the end of the race on the victory that allows him to claw back two points on Antonelli: “On this track it is difficult to open a gap on those chasing, there was a nice battle with Antonelli, I’m happy we are both here. Of course, it must be said that Antonelli often saw the grass.”
