The fastest Yamaha
The last Grand Prix of the Americas turned out to be an authentic disaster for Yamaha, with final results confirming the serious state of crisis for the Japanese manufacturer. In fact, all the YZR-M1s of the factory team or Pramac failed to reach the points zone, with the exception of only one rider: Toprak Razgatlioglu.

Beyond maximum effort
A rookie in MotoGP after his career in Superbike, a category in which he was crowned world champion three times, the 29-year-old Turk started the season finishing the first races of the world championship always ahead of his teammate Jack Miller, before reaching 15th place in Austin. A placement that equates to the first point in the World Championship for #7: “It was a very tough race for everyone, but I gave more than 100% because I really wanted to earn my first point. In the end I succeeded and I am very happy – he commented – another positive aspect is that I am starting to enjoy the races more and I am learning a lot. I followed Fabio (Quartararo) for several laps and I was able to better understand his riding style and the track, which is very important for me at this stage. Race after race, weekend after weekend, we are improving and this makes me happy. Of course, this is just the beginning: now the goal is to continue learning and start fighting for better results. We have a few weeks before the next race, so I will continue training and I will be back ready to work, starting from Spain.”
Congratulating Razgatlioglu was Gino Borsoi, Team Manager of Pramac, in the hope that the Turk will be able to repeat this in the next events: “Overall, it was a positive day. Of course, our ambitions are higher, but we all needed a moral boost and we are very happy that Toprak has earned the first of what we hope will be many points in MotoGP in his career. Jack (Miller) also had a solid race and, from the middle of the race, both riders showed they had the pace to stay close to the top ten. This is an important sign for us. This is our starting point, and it is from here that we must continue to build. Known that it won’t be easy, but we have already significantly reduced the gap compared to the first races. Now we must continue to work hard, with the team and our riders, to get closer and closer to where they deserve to be.”
