New face at Pramac
In the week leading up to the Italian Grand Prix, Pramac surprised by signing Ross Brawn, former Technical Director of Ferrari (among various roles held in his long experience in the Circus) who will join the Tuscan team as a consultant and board member. This weekend, Tuscany will be the center of attention in MotoGP for the race that will take place on the historic Mugello circuit, Pramac’s home ground.

A different challenge after twelve years
If the three-time Superbike champion, Toprak Razgatlioglu, had never raced at Le Mans before the French GP, the situation will be slightly different at Mugello. The Turkish rider has already competed in several races on this circuit, but in categories completely different from MotoGP or Superbike: “For me this is a completely new challenge, because it will be the first time I ride a 1000cc bike at Mugello – he said – the last time I raced here was twelve years ago in the Red Bull Rookies Cup, so in some ways, it’s almost like rediscovering the track from scratch. Back then I didn’t feel very comfortable with a lower displacement bike and such a fast circuit, but now it’s different with a MotoGP. Riding a MotoGP here is something special and I am very happy and excited for this experience. We will see how the weekend develops. I know Mugello is a very demanding track and another important learning step for me, but as always I will try to give my best and keep improving session after session.”

Having finished outside the points zone in the last Catalan GP, the same did not happen to teammate Jack Miller, with the Australian trying to improve his season result after two consecutive fifteenth places obtained at Le Mans and Barcelona: “I can’t wait to start another series of consecutive races and, above all, to start from Italy. For many team members this is a very special Grand Prix, one of those everyone looks forward to during the season. We come to this weekend after what I believe was a positive test in Barcelona. We know that Mugello will highlight some of our current weaknesses, especially with such a long straight, but at the same time we have made encouraging progress there, particularly regarding the bike’s cornering characteristics. I hope these improvements can help us in the rest of the lap and allow us to keep building momentum. It’s always great to race in front of the Italian fans and I’m excited to start the weekend.”
