Porsche expands its range of fully electric SUVs by introducing the new Cayenne S Electric. It is a model that completes the range between the Cayenne Electric and the Cayenne Electric Turbo, and stands out for a specific exterior design, with dedicated front and rear aprons in Volcano Grey Metallic, painted inserts and diffuser in matching color, and 20″ Cayenne S Aero wheels. Within the Style Porsche strategy, the German manufacturer presents the Style “Director’s Cut”: the first pack is the Interior Style Package, available for all versions of the Cayenne Electric.

New Porsche Cayenne S Electric

From a technical point of view, the Cayenne S Electric features two permanent magnet synchronous motors, one per axle, with an all-wheel drive system that develops 400 kW (544 hp) of nominal power and up to 490 kW (666 hp) with Launch Control. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3,8 seconds and reaches a top speed of 250 km/h. The high-voltage battery has a gross capacity of 113 kWh and offers, according to the combined WLTP cycle, a range of up to 653 km. Under suitable fast-charging conditions, the battery can go from 10% to 80% SoC in less than 16 minutes, utilizing charging powers of up to 400 kW.

The new Cayenne S inherits technical solutions designed for high performance and continuity of use. The rear axle motor is equipped with direct oil cooling, which effectively evacuates heat directly from the current-conducting components. The inverter, also on the rear axle, uses silicon carbide semiconductors and manages currents up to 620 A.

Functions and personalization

Among the available options are systems once reserved for the Turbo, such as Torque Vectoring Plus (PTV Plus), Active Ride suspension, the PCCB braking system with yellow calipers, and the Sport Chrono package with Push-to-Pass function that delivers up to 90 kW (122 hp) additional for 10 seconds. The Track mode pre-conditions the battery to get the most out of the circuit. The Cayenne S Electric is available to order immediately and offers extensive customization with thirteen body colors and numerous interior and detail packages.
