The compounds for Miami and Montreal
Ahead of the Miami and Canada GPs, Pirelli will provide teams with the softest tires in the range. In fact, C3, C4, and C5 are the compounds chosen by the Milanese manufacturer for the Florida and Montreal events, respectively the fourth and fifth weekends of the World Championship.

Both will be Sprint events – respectively the second and third weekends with the short race – and represent Formula 1’s return to the track, currently halted due to the war in Iran.
The first US race of the season (1-3 May) follows a long one-month break in the championship, due to the cancellation of the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix. The characteristics of the circuit built around the Dolphins stadium, characterized by very smooth asphalt, allow for the use of the softest compounds in the range, with predominantly thermal degradation due to the high Florida temperatures. In 2025, tire degradation was nevertheless contained, and this led Pirelli to confirm the choice made 12 months ago.

The Milanese manufacturer confirms the soft trio also for Montreal (22-24 May), a track that historically has low-abrasive asphalt and requires maximum grip at points where cars are subjected to sharp decelerations. In 2025, the C6 was used, which however is not available this year due to very limited use in races.
