Preparations continue for Cadillac on the occasion of the Chinese Grand Prix, scheduled for this weekend at the Shanghai circuit. After the American team’s failed debut in Melbourne, with Valtteri Bottas’ retirement due to technical problems and Sergio Perez’s 16th place, the hope is to take a step forward in an event that will represent another ‘debut’: in China, in fact, the first Sprint Race of the world championship will take place.

A very significant race for the team and its drivers, starting with Perez, with the former Red Bull driver who will try to get closer to the top 10 after the difficult return to F1: “It was wonderful to complete the first race of the Cadillac Formula 1 Team last weekend. Now it’s about taking steps forward wherever we can, and Shanghai is a completely different circuit, which means that we can learn a lot. The Sprint will make this weekend a challenge, but I’m excited to get back in the car and help the team race.”
A GP that also represents a challenge for Valtteri Bottas, eager to cross the checkered flag this time after the DNF in Australia due to a fuel system failure: “It’s great to be back in China, where there is a lot of support for the sport. For us, it will be the second race weekend ever. It will also be a Sprint with only one free practice session, which will make the weekend interesting. Overall, I think we will be in a stronger position as a team again: we learned a lot from Melbourne. I can’t wait to get back in the car and give my all with this quick turnaround.”
