Not just world championships
In the entry list for the upcoming Rally of Chile, scheduled for this weekend, the reigning world champion Sébastien Ogier will not be missing, who in the history of the WRC shares a record with his compatriot Sébastien Loeb: that of the highest number of world titles won. The two French drivers are tied at 9, but in the next round in South America Ogier will reach another milestone.

At the start of the Chilean event, in fact, Ogier will participate in his 213th rally in his career, reaching another great WRC figure like the Finnish Jari-Matti Latvala, three-time world runner-up and, curiously, team principal of the team in which Ogier himself races, namely Toyota Gazoo Racing WRT. Should the Frenchman participate in the next Rally of Sardinia, the record will be his.
The numbers
Ogier’s debut took place in 2008 at the Rally of Mexico, in an almost twenty-year career that has established him among the greatest drivers in WRC history: to date, the 42-year-old has won a total of 69 victories and 119 podiums, all achieved with Citroën, Volkswagen, Ford, and Toyota.
