From London to Milan, ‘ciak-2’ for the winter show

Formula 1 is ready to ignite Milan with ‘F1 Live Milan‘, an incredible three-day entertainment spectacle scheduled in the Italian city from February 18 to 20, 2027. Born from the ambition to create an even bigger and more engaging event for fans than the F1 75 Live at the O2 in 2025, streamed in 37 countries worldwide and attracting 7.5 million viewers to the live broadcast, ‘F1 Live Milan’ will offer fans two distinct opportunities: the Milan Fan Festival, which will take place over all three days; and F1 The Show, an adrenaline-filled one-night event featuring drivers and team principals from all 11 teams, plus music, entertainment, and much more.

The event will transform an iconic city location into the ultimate Formula 1 destination, full of energy. The expanded three-day format reflects Formula 1’s commitment to putting fans at the heart of this sport and will combine the atmosphere of fan festivals in race cities worldwide with more opportunities than ever to immerse in the world of F1 and its future.

F1 The Show will be held on a single evening, February 18, 2027, bringing together Formula 1 stars along with an exciting entertainment and music program for an unforgettable show embodying the spirit of this sport. London, where F1 75 Live was held, will pass the baton to Milan, Italy, a city and country with a deep and lasting passion for this sport. As the world capital of culture, creativity, and design, and close to Monza, the legendary home of the Italian Grand Prix and one of Formula 1’s most historic circuits, Milan offers the perfect stage for the return of F1 Live. F1 Live Milan will take place shortly before the start of the 2027 Formula 1 season, where teams and drivers are ready to deliver even closer, wheel-to-wheel racing and spectacular moments both on and off the track. More exciting details about F1 Live Milan, including the daily program of the Milan Fan Festival and the lineup for F1 The Show, will be revealed in the coming months. Tickets will go on sale by the end of the year and fans will also be able to pre-register to express their interest. Those unable to attend the event in Milan will still be able to experience F1 Live Milan through a wide range of channels.

“We always think big and push boundaries, F1 Live Milan will be an incredible experience designed especially for our fans – said Stefano Domenicali we want them to feel not just watching the sport, but truly immersed in it. It is an important part of our ongoing ambition to bring Formula 1 closer to fans than ever before, giving them the chance to see their heroes up close and experience the energy, innovation, and excitement that make Formula 1 so unique. As F1 continues to reach new audiences worldwide, the races will always remain our soul, but we also want to create unforgettable experiences that bring the thrill of Formula 1 to life on an even bigger scale and continue to explore what is possible. Following the extraordinary success of F1 75 in London, F1 Live Milan will transform the city into a Formula 1 festival for three unforgettable days, bringing together people from all over the world to celebrate everything they love about our sport. I know my fellow countrymen will offer a fantastic welcome to fans coming to F1 Live Milan and I look forward to seeing the city come alive with the energy of Formula 1, creating memories that will last a lifetime.”

A traveling format

Stefano Domenicali further commented on the initiative during a meeting with the Italian press, including FormulaPassion:“Our country is famous for Fashion Week. At a time when Formula 1 is rarely talked about, we need to guarantee something I would call the Formula One Week. It will be a week in which, with a very intense program, we want to engage fans, dedicating one day to meet all the teams and on the other hand launch those for the new season. Italy will become central again, because in February everyone will come here. In that week we will connect all the Formula 1 partners, which will be talked about in a normally quiet period. I think it’s a good thing, which I believe will also characterize us in the coming years.”

Most likely, however, Italy will not be the permanent venue for future editions: “Milan will be the first extensive format, compared to the one-day event held in London two years ago. It is definitely a format we want to export around the world, because it could be a way to enter new markets in a different form, so without holding a race, but doing the 25th Grand Prix in countries that could be interesting for us to develop.”
