The Honda LCR team of Lucio Cecchinello has to deal with the prolonged absence of Johann Zarco after the French rider’s injury in Barcelona.
At Mugello, in place of Zarco there will be an old acquaintance of the LCR team, a rider who made the history of this team: we are talking about the English Cal Crutchlow, who will return to MotoGP this weekend after spending the last seasons as a Yamaha test rider before being replaced by Andrea Dovizioso starting from the last months of 2024.
Crutchlow has won three races with the LCR team, two in 2016 at Brno and Phillip Island and one in 2018 in Argentina. His best result as Lucio Cecchinello’s rider at Mugello is sixth place in 2018.
