Renewal between Norris and McLaren
Lando Norris and McLaren will continue together at least until the end of 2030. The world champion has extended his contract with the papaya team, signing a multi-year agreement that also includes an option to further extend the relationship. The Briton grew up within the Woking team, where he was promoted to full-time driver in 2019. Norris will therefore drive a McLaren for 12 consecutive seasons, following in the footsteps of other long-lasting partnerships like Verstappen-Red Bull and Leclerc-Ferrari.

As recognition for his contribution to the team, McLaren will also gift Norris an MCL39, the car with which the Briton won the world title in the 2025 season.

Norris is already the driver with the most races in McLaren (163 GPs). During his time at Woking, he has achieved 13 wins, 18 pole positions, and 48 podiums, as well as two Constructors’ titles and the 2025 Drivers’ World Championship. With the not-so-hidden dream of repeating it in 2026. But it will require a feat against Kimi Antonelli.
