Ducati renews trust in Fermín Aldeguer
Another piece of the puzzle of the 2027 MotoGP World Championship starting grid falls into place, just hours after the announcement of Luca Marini at KTM Tech3. The announcement comes from Ducati, which confirms the two-year contract renewal of Fermín Aldeguer. The young Spanish rider, currently with the Gresini team, will indeed remain for another two years aboard the Desmosedici but with a different jersey as he will join the VR46 team until the end of the 2028 championship. A choice that confirms the commitment of the Borgo Panigale factory towards the 21-year-old from Murcia, who in his first two seasons in MotoGP has achieved one victory, two second places, and one third place.

The Spanish rider speaks
“I am very happy to take this step – explains Fermín Aldeguer – continuing my career in MotoGP with the VR46 Racing Team. Signing with Valentino Rossi’s team is incredible, because he has always been one of my idols, a point of reference. I think having him within the team will help me improve as a rider thanks to his valuable advice. VR46 is also the team supported by Ducati Factory, an extremely professional team and I am happy to race with them. With the new 2027 regulations, my goal will be to adapt to the new tires, but also to the new bike. Having the official Ducati will help a lot with development during the season”.
“It will be a year in which we aim to be consistent – he continues – not making mistakes and spending as much time as possible on the bike to gather information. I am sure we will work very well with the whole team and Ducati engineers, we can do a great job and aim to be consistently in the top five positions.
