The Colombian highlighted the Dutchman’s skill
Lewis Hamilton ended the first half of 2026 with his first Ferrari win achieved in Barcelona and with second place in the Drivers’ standings, 50 points behind leader Andrea Kimi Antonelli.
Hamilton regained sharpness and speed at the wheel of the Ferrari SF-26, but a series of penalties received in recent races caused the loss of some points – if not several tens – which allowed Antonelli to go on vacation with a considerable margin.
Juan Pablo Montoya is very happy that Hamilton has regained excellent form and competitiveness: “Seeing Hamilton reborn is nice, I am happy for him”, said the Colombian reached by Betpack.

In Hungary Hamilton was overtaken on track by Max Verstappen, a move that could only catch the eye of an aggressive driver like Montoya. “Verstappen’s overtake was crazy – Montoya added – he realized that Hamilton braked too early and then he went for the move. It was not a reckless maneuver, he didn’t even go wide. Hamilton was completely caught by surprise. Max is like that, you may like it or not, but behind the wheel he is a phenomenon.”
