The weather forecast for the Miami GP
The FIA has decided to bring forward the start of the 2026 Miami GP to 1:00 PM local time, 7:00 PM in Italy. The race was supposed to start at 4:00 PM in Florida when it would have been 10:00 PM in Europe, but at that time the risk of rain was 95%.
The three-hour advancement still does not completely avoid the risk of rain also because it is quite likely that the track will be wet even without precipitation at the start since rain is also expected in the morning.

Consulting various weather portals including accuweather.com and the weather channel it emerges that the chances of rain at the start of the GP are around 40%, but even if the drivers could start on slicks it is very likely that it will be necessary to switch to intermediate or extreme wet tires during the race. At 2:00 PM local time, in fact, the risk of rain rises to 60%. Therefore, a GP full of action and uncertain outcome is expected until the checkered flag on a track where the margins for error are really low since it is run on a predominantly street circuit especially in the area of the second sector where the run-off areas are almost zero.
