Maserati Classiche reaches a milestone of great symbolic value with the release of the hundredth Certificate of Authenticity. A record that confirms the Trident house’s commitment to protecting and enhancing its historical heritage. The recipient of this recognition is the Maserati 3500 GT Convertible Vignale prototype, identified by chassis 101505. It is an extraordinary car that represents a true milestone in the evolution of the Modena brand and in the origin of the convertible GT.

Maserati Classiche and Certificates of Authenticity
The Maserati Classiche program, born in 2021 and based in the workshops of Modena, supports customers and collectors in preserving the Trident’s historic cars. Today the department is an integral part of the excellence project BOTTEGAFUORISERIE, where technical skills, historical research and Modena craftsmanship converge to preserve the brand’s heritage. Among the most appreciated activities, the Certificate of Authenticity process is entrusted to a committee of experts who evaluate each car through an in-depth analysis of technical characteristics, historical documentation and Maserati archives.
3500 GT Convertible Vignale
The certification concerns cars with over twenty years, as well as special models and limited series, ensuring a rigorous and traceable recognition. Restored between 2023 and 2026 with the direct support of Maserati Classiche in the same city where it was born, the 3500 GT Convertible Vignale prototype was returned to the configuration presented at the 1959 Turin Motor Show, preserving its historical and technical authenticity. Developed by Carrozzeria Vignale under the stylistic direction of Giovanni Michelotti and made in only 6 examples, the car marked the first great Vignale experiment on Maserati, generating the model that would later define the archetype of the GranCabrio.
