Martin is fourth
Jorge Martin finished fourth on Friday at the British Grand Prix, comfortably securing direct access to Q2.
The world championship leader finished in 1’56.780, exactly half a second behind teammate Marco Bezzecchi.

“I am happy, I did a great job. It was an important day, I tried some parts on the bike that will surely help me close the gap a bit with the other Aprilias. It was one of the best Fridays of the season, we need to work on many details to optimize the riding a bit because last year I didn’t race here and we are far off on the electronics.

I feel more comfortable and I found a bit more feeling. I made that mental click that I was missing since Barcelona. I went back to the bike I was fast with and it immediately went well. Marco’s lap was incredible, but I think we are closer compared to the last races. I am the one who has ridden the least on this bike, I have a lot of grit and sometimes I enter the corners too fast and then I suffer in the rest. I have to work on myself, I have to change something in my riding but I know I have potential.”
