Martin, a story to tell
The 2025 of Jorge Martin was a real nightmare, with a series of very serious injuries that even made him consider hanging up his helmet and leaving Aprilia.
But the Italian team held on and mended the relationship with their rider, and after a year it is fair to admit that the decision was the right one for both parties.
Martin returned to victory at Le Mans and after 12 Grands Prix he is leading the world championship with a 31-point lead over teammate Marco Bezzecchi.

Despite the renewed harmony for common interest, the relationship between Martin and Aprilia will end at the end of 2026, with the Spanish champion having decided to sign a two-year deal with Yamaha.
Since the beginning of the year Martin has also said that in his regained confidence there is also a marked religious component.

The relationship with religion
In a recent interview given to Dazn Spain, Martin returned to the topic of religion: “If God is with me, who will be against me? It is part of me, I have always been a Catholic Christian. This winter I felt the need to read the Bible, I want to learn and find out what happened, why Jesus was so important. Faith has thus gained strength within my life and I feel more supported than before.”
