Martinator at Red Bull Ring bandaged
Jorge Martin was caught by Marc Marquez at Misano at the top of the World Championship standings. The 2024 world champion was leading the San Marino GP, but then fell back to fifth place.

Martin had a physical problem with his forearm, an early stage of compartment syndrome for which he might also undergo a surgical intervention after the Austrian GP scheduled at the Red Bull Ring this weekend.
“Misano did not go exactly as we expected – said Martin – despite this, we hold on to the positive aspects, because in the long race I had a good feeling, a good rhythm and I was riding the way I like, until I started to feel my forearm getting tight. After Austria we will evaluate how to deal with this physical problem and study possible solutions.
