Marquez, Sprint victory
After the beautiful pole position conquered in the morning, Marc Marquez calmly won the Hungarian Grand Prix Sprint. The Spaniard started well from the first grid slot and immediately managed to distance Pedro Acosta, immediately putting a reassuring gap between himself and his rivals. No physical drop and no problems for Marquez, who easily won the Sprint – with a gap that even reached 2″5.
With today’s 12 points, Marquez is now -97 behind leader Marco Bezzecchi.

Marquez’s comment
“On Friday, I actually tried to save energy, let’s say I was in eco mode. This morning I tried to push, as we showed in the race, if you start at the front it’s a huge help. And then the strategy was to push from the beginning, when I felt fresh, and then try to survive towards the end.
It’s a strategy that worked well. Today. Tomorrow the race is longer. We’ll see exactly how to manage it.”
