MotoGP, Marquez in his stronghold
Marc Marquez approaches the Aragón weekend in attack mode. The Spaniard has recovered from the injuries that plagued him even in the spring and now arrives at a circuit that excites him. Seven wins and seven pole positions in MotoGP are results that indicate the world champion as the absolute favorite, also because he is unbeaten at MotorLand.

In the pre-race statements, Marquez did not hide, and neither did he in the classic pre-race press conference.
Marquez’s words
“Obviously we are on a track that I like and that suits my riding style well. Regardless of the result, I enjoy riding here, but if I want to fight for the championship I have to finish ahead of my rivals“, this was his comment. “It is clear that Aprilia has found something this year, because their four riders are very fast on every track, especially on circuits like Assen and Silverstone, with fast corners. Here we have a mix of various types of corners, but we will see. In the end, I feel good on my bike, and I know that if I can bring out the maximum potential I can fight for the win“.
The focus is once again on the physical condition of the Spaniard. It is true that the knockout at Le Mans is behind him, but the right arm also caused problems at Silverstone (after the race he said “I couldn’t control it“). This is because Marquez did hard work in the gym over the summer, gaining muscle mass, but then made the mistake of pushing too hard in FP1. Something he still cannot afford.

“I was a bit upset because I hadn’t ridden as I could. I hoped and believed that my physical condition was better, because I had gained some mass in the gym and had started the weekend riding aggressively from FP1. But, when I got up on Sunday, I realized it was not the time to do that. I have to recover, I have to do some laps on Friday so that I am in better physical condition for Sunday. Here it should still go better, both for my right arm, because there are many left corners, and for my riding style, which particularly suits left corners“.
MotorLand therefore presents itself as the ideal opportunity to turn the page after the difficulties encountered at Silverstone, especially in managing the rear tire. Aragón, then, is a much more favorable hunting ground for Ducati compared to the British track, and here Marquez can try to reduce the gap from Jorge Martin, who rose to 40 points after the British weekend.
