Marquez: “Now I could retire peacefully”
On the Imagin podcast, Marc Marquez explained: “After a very serious injury, like the one in 2020, I doubted I could be fast again. I know my arm is no longer what it used to be and one of the things that helped me the most was not comparing the left with the right, but just giving 100% for each.”

Marquez then spoke openly about his retirement (the Spaniard turned 33 in February): “In the past I could have retired, because I had no other choice. But I would not have been 100% satisfied. Obviously I would have been at peace with myself for having tried, but I would not have retired 100% satisfied. Now instead I could retire peacefully and satisfied. But I repeat: as long as I am active I will give 100%. I am aware that the moment is getting closer and closer. I will continue until my body gives out and I know I will stop because of my body, more than because of my mentality,” concluded the Ducati rider.
