Marko is doing great in retirement
Recently, a photo obviously sparked discussion showing Helmut Marko in the company of Jos Verstappen and Max’s manager Raymond Vermeulen. The Dutch driver is not going through a good period at Red Bull, but the reunion between Marko and the close entourage of the four-time world champion is not related to sporting reasons.
“My visit was private, I visit the Verstappens once a year, plus Victoria, Max’s sister, got married”, explained Helmut Marko according to the Austrian newspaper oe24 often in contact with the former Red Bull manager.
Marko also dodged questions about Verstappen’s future, who seems close to leaving Red Bull by using the exit clause in his contract with the Milton Keynes team: “These matters no longer concern me“, said Marko.

The absence at the Red Bull Ring GP should not be surprising either, evidently the octogenarian after many years traveling around the world is enjoying the relaxation of retirement: “This year you won’t see me at any Grand Prix“, concluded Marko.
