The warmth of Romagna
After the charge of the Spanish crowd to support their favorites at the Aragon circuit, this weekend it will be the Italian riders who will once again enjoy special support from the stands. Almost four months after the Mugello appointment, it will be the Misano Adriatico track that will host the second and last GP in Italy, with most of the ‘azzurri’ riders experiencing this weekend as a true home GP.

Hunting Aldeguer
Among them is Luca Marini, born and raised a few kilometers from the circuit and who knows its characteristics well. Currently 11th in the championship, the Honda rider will try to give his all to enter the top 15, being only two points behind Aldeguer. An overtake that would allow him to continue his positive streak of points finishes: “I can’t wait for this weekend to arrive – commented #10 – racing in Italy is always fantastic thanks to the warmth of the fans, and also Misano is a circuit I particularly love to drive on. The fast rear section of the track is exceptional and in the past I have achieved great results here. In the last race we made a step forward with the qualifying setup; I am therefore optimistic about being able to take advantage of this improvement over the weekend and make the top 12. In this way, I believe we can fight for something more important. Let’s enjoy the event together with all the fans!”.

The risks of Misano
In a rather negative season for Joan Mir, the 2020 world champion still managed to achieve 12th place at Aragon, with a placement that could give him an extra boost ahead of this weekend: “At Misano it will be about finding the right setup again, after a weekend at Aragon where something was missing. It is a circuit that can prove tricky, but in the last two years the tracks that on paper are more difficult have given us rather favorable results! The goal is to have another clean and consistent weekend, putting ourselves in a good position for the races and seeing what we can achieve. Now a really intense phase of the year begins, so we have to keep the momentum and build on the results acquired race after race”.
