KIA presents a medium and long-term growth roadmap until 2030, outlining a strategy based on investments, expansion of the offering, and a strong acceleration of volumes. At the center of the plan is the goal of reaching 4,13 million annual global sales by 2030, with a market share of 4,5%. The path already sets a target of 3,35 million units in 2026, indicating a trajectory of progressive and structured expansion, supported by industrial and commercial planning by geographic area. KIA aims for growth by 2030

The 2030 strategy also focuses on a transformation of the offering for powertrains and segments. The Korean manufacturer intends to expand the EV range to 14 models, aiming for 1 million electric vehicles per year by 2030. In parallel, the plan envisions growth in hybrid vehicles with 1,1 million annual sales by the end of the decade, supported by a range of 10 models. Furthermore, for the light commercial vehicle market, KIA sets a target of 230.000 units in 2030, thanks to the PV5, PV7, and PV9 models. The company also emphasizes the desire to “accelerate exponential growth” through execution on the EV, HEV, and commercial fronts via consistent programming for products and geographies.

Not just new models

Alongside the sales strategy, KIA is expanding its technological roadmap toward autonomous driving vehicles and robotics. The Korean manufacturer expects an increase in the adoption of autonomous driving vehicles with mass production of SDV models (Level 2+) in 2027 and the implementation of urban AV (Level 2++) starting from 2029. On the industrial front, however, the company also points to production innovation with Atlas, starting implementation at HMGMA in 2028, and expansion at the KIA AutoLand Georgia plant in 2029. To support the transformation, a total investment plan of 49 trillion KRW is planned over the next five years (2026-2030), including 21 trillion KRW destined for future activities. Finally, on a financial level, for 2030, 170 trillion KRW in revenue, an operating profit margin of 10%, and 17 trillion KRW in operating profit are set.
