Hyundai has announced the renewal of the strategic partnership with Shell Lubricants until 2031. The two companies aim through this agreement to further strengthen their collaboration in the field of future mobility. Strengthen? Yes, because the collaboration has been in place since 2005, over twenty years now. Now the two companies have renewed their Global Business Cooperation Agreement for five years.

Hyundai and Shell together again

Hyundai and Shell will carry out new joint initiatives dedicated to future mobility, expanding cooperation in research and development activities, service marketing, and motorsport. Among the main areas of intervention, Hyundai explains in a note, are the improvement of engine oil quality and the development of fluids and coolants specific for electric vehicles. Not only that: the collaboration also concerns the Hyundai N high-performance division, for which Shell already co-develops lubricants designed for high-performance engines and electric vehicles.
