A bitter day for the Australian
It wasn’t exactly Oscar Piastri‘s Sunday at this Hungarian GP. The McLaren driver had taken the lead on the first lap at the expense of his teammate Lando Norris.
During the race, Norris extended his second stint after Piastri’s second stop and also due to a madness by Carlos Sainz, Norris took the lead of the Grand Prix.

Piastri also saw his second-place finish slip away due to a technical problem which forced the Australian to retire, a DNF that prevented McLaren from celebrating an unpredictable one-two finish on the eve of the Budapest weekend.
