It’s time for Monza!
After the scare from the incident between the two Audi team drivers narrowly avoided in the Netherlands, thanks to a mix of luck and Hülkenberg’s instinctive reaction to dodge Bortoleto who spun out in front of him, the German manufacturer arrives at Monza for the Italian Grand Prix. An event that comes two weeks after Zandvoort, a circuit where Hülkenberg himself, besides avoiding the crash, also achieved his best season result with eighth place.

Audi in the right direction
The new goal of the Four Rings team is to give their best at the ‘Temple of Speed’, a track where Hülkenberg reached the top 5 on two occasions, finishing fifth in 2013 and 2019 respectively with Sauber and Renault: “Sunday at Zandvoort ended again satisfactorily for us. We brought home another points finish and, equally important, we confirmed that as a team we are going in the right direction. The goal now is to maintain this level of performance in the upcoming races. It’s always nice to return to Monza. One of the true classics, with many passionate fans and a circuit where driving a Formula 1 car is truly a pleasure. The midfield group is still incredibly tight, so the goal is to have another clean weekend and see where it takes us.”

Confirmation also comes from Bortoleto
The desire to return to the points zone is also openly expressed by Brazilian Gabriel Bortoleto, another driver who holds sweet memories at Monza, such as winning the Formula 3 title in 2022: “Even though the result on Sunday at Zandvoort was not what I wanted, I felt good with the car and we had a good pace, which was definitely positive after the break. Monza is always a weekend with a special meaning for me: I lived in Italy throughout my junior career and I have also achieved good results here in recent years. In general, racing at the Temple of Speed is always something you look forward to. We have been competitive in the last races, so I hope to continue on this path this weekend as well and achieve a good result.”
