Hamilton boosted by Montreal
During the Canadian Grand Prix weekend, one of the best versions of Lewis Hamilton since he started racing for Ferrari was certainly seen. Fast and consistent from Friday, the Englishman was always competitive and it is no coincidence that he achieved his best result since joining Maranello, with second place at the finish line.
Hamilton did not hide the engine difficulties of the SF-26 project and therefore hinted that on the next circuit on the calendar – Monte Carlo – Ferrari will be able to have its say.

Hope for Monaco
“Monaco is the only track where power is not fundamental,” Hamilton began in the press conference, continuing: “There it’s all about chassis performance. I believe our car could be really strong there and I will focus on making sure to arrive there with the same energy I had this weekend. I will study a lot with the engineers to put the car in the right position from FP1 onwards.”
Hamilton highlighted the frustration over the difficulties of the Ferrari power unit: “If you remove the power deficit we are fighting with those ahead. But today it’s not like that: I can keep up with them and match their pace in the corners, but I can’t push further on the accelerator. You see them gain on the straight and you catch them under braking, but then they pull away again on the straight. And it’s really difficult, we are very far behind. I hope the ADUO will allow us to improve performance a bit to let us fight. But Monaco should be fun.”
