Ferrari back on track
Two days after the disappointing Spanish GP, Hamilton and Leclerc returned to the track driving the Ferrari as part of the Pirelli tests for the 2027 season.
The venue for the tests was the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Autodrome in Imola, increasingly accredited to be the final stage of the 2026 world championship instead of Abu Dhabi.

127 total laps for Hamilton and Leclerc
During the morning of Tuesday, September 15, it was Lewis Hamilton who took to the track, completing 64 laps and stopping the clock at 1’19.485.
Charles Leclerc got in the car in the afternoon, completing 63 laps in total, with the best time of 1’18.832.
For the British and the Monegasque, performance runs of 5 laps, with a couple of options for each compound and then long runs with the best solution of the Pirelli tire prototypes for the 2027 season.

The tested tires were the softest, namely C3, C4 and C5.
Tomorrow Ferrari will be back on track with Antonio Giovinazzi, together with the Racing Bulls, who will split the work between Liam Lawson and Arvid Lindblad.
