MotoGP France, the Race Report
Jorge Martin repeats himself, and after the Sprint he also takes home the Le Mans Race, with a superb performance. This time the 2024 world champion does not burn everyone at the start, but cooks them slowly: one by one, all fall before the blows of the Spaniard, who climbed from seventh position after emerging from the traffic. The last to bow his head is Marco Bezzecchi, who tries to resist the comeback of his teammate but has to give up three laps from the end after a decisive overtake at the Dunlop chicane. The Bez, who started very well and perfectly executes a race led almost entirely, remains the World Championship leader with a one-point advantage precisely over Martin. Today he has more and deservedly returns to victory in a GP after 585 days: natural and very human tears after the embrace with the mechanics.

For Aprilia, it is in any case a day to remember: the top-3 is entirely signed by the Noale factory, because in third place is Ai Ogura, who brings the Japanese flag back to the podium of a MotoGP race after 14 years. The one who throws away this podium is instead Francesco Bagnaia, who crashed at Dunlop on the 16th lap under the pressure of Pedro Acosta, who had just started to show himself again precisely because Martin was getting closer and closer. “Pecco’s” crash accelerates events, with Martin easily passing Acosta and Ogura passing first Fabio Di Giannantonio and then the Tiburón.

Fabio Quartararo defends himself as best he can, excellent sixth, top-10 for Bastianini, Fernandez, Aldeguer and Marini. Crash after just one lap for Alex Marquez, who ends a bad weekend in the worst way.
