06.54 – Our in-depth look at Verstappen’s accident.

06.53 – At Ferrari, energy management issues seem to have been resolved towards the end of the session. The difference with Mercedes in terms of power unit remains evident.

The delta between #Leclerc and #Russell in this Q2 is purely and entirely down to power. #Ferrari gains in all the corners, quite a lot actually, but on the straights it loses much more. 10 km/h on the back straight, another 10 at the braking point of Turn 11, and anyway it’s clearly visible from the top part of the graph. #AustralianGP pic.twitter.com/FJOOpFQ9AZ

Chequered flag

06.48 – Leclerc moves into second position, 423 thousandths behind Russell.

06.47 – Leclerc starts his lap, having dropped to eighth position.

06.46 – Hamilton secures himself in sixth position.

06.45 – Hamilton goes again.

06.44 – Hamilton consistently had an energy management issue in the second sector, as did Leclerc.

There’s something wrong with the #Ferrari PUs in this Q2. #Leclerc did his lap with a very low power mode, #Hamilton for the second time in a row comes out of Turn 6 and then just doesn’t go despite trying to accelerate. Let’s see if they fix it #AustralianGP pic.twitter.com/UpwiN3HYYC
