Martin is in trouble with Red Bull
The Aprilia has long been looking for a title sponsor and the right offer has arrived also considering the 2027 riders, namely Marco Bezzecchi and Francesco Bagnaia. According to what was anticipated by motorsport.es, starting from the Italian GP at Mugello the official Aprilias will have a new absolute heavyweight title sponsor, namely the energy drink brand Monster Energy, a direct competitor of Red Bull.

The agreement will initially be valid for all remaining races in 2026 and is destined to be extended also because the partnership with Yamaha expires precisely at the end of 2026. Bezzecchi and Bagnaia are already Monster-branded riders and therefore the path for the future in Aprilia is paved, while the one in trouble is Jorge Martin.
The 2024 world champion is very closely tied to Red Bull and will have to find a solution because the two brands are competitors and therefore Martin will not be able to continue to be a Red Bull testimonial. Even Marc Marquez, upon joining Ducati, had to ‘put on hold’ being a Red Bull athlete, Martin will have to do the same, but at least he will not face the same situation at Yamaha in 2027 since the Iwata factory will have to find another title sponsor.
