MotoGP market, not only the top riders are looking around
Everything is quiet in the MotoGP market, but it seems to be only a temporary situation. The big announcements regarding the future of the top riders have not yet arrived, but developments cannot be ruled out even this weekend, in order to avoid racing even part of the World Championship without having clearly defined 2027.

Precisely because the fate of the likes of Bagnaia, Alex Marquez, Acosta, Quartararo and Martin is only waiting to be made official, the manufacturers are thinking about the second riders who will have to accompany them. Among these, with an expiring contract, is also Luca Marini, who according to what AS reported has a very important offer from Yamaha, to the point that even in the Honda garage there are those who consider the #10 already out of the team at the end of the season.
Marini would find his crew chief from the VR46 days, David Muñoz, at Yamaha, while it is possible that Valentino Rossi – Yamaha ambassador – recognizes his brother’s great qualities in bike development, an aspect that emerged both at Ducati and Honda: “It is true that I am the best at developing the bike, but I know nothing about this interest”, stated the rider born in 1997.

Movements among the big names
In the coming days, at least six official announcements regarding the top MotoGP riders are expected. The most important is the renewal of Marc Marquez with Ducati, which the world champion makes conditional on the improvement of the shoulder injured in October. Announcements are also expected for Jorge Martin in Yamaha, Fabio Quartararo in Honda, Alex Marquez in KTM and Pedro Acosta in Ducati.
