Honda chooses David Alonso
It will be a revolution at Honda HRC for the 2027 season and alongside Fabio Quartararo there will be David Alonso, chosen from Moto2 to partner with the French champion. The 19-year-old “Colombian from Madrid” will debut in the premier class with one of the most prestigious teams and had faced offers from all the manufacturers on the starting grid, as reported by As.
This will cause the departure of both Luca Marini and Joan Mir. The Italian, however, has an important proposal from Yamaha – to partner with Jorge Martin –, and therefore could remain in MotoGP.
A different story for Mir, 2020 world champion, who could even stay at home – unless Honda decides to sacrifice Zarco (who, however, holds a contract until 2027) and propose that he move to LCR.

Gresini chooses Ducati again and Holgado (with Bastianini)
The Gresini team in recent weeks had spoken with Aprilia and especially Honda, but As ensures that it has chosen the path of continuity and therefore to continue with Ducati.
With Alex Marquez heading towards KTM and Fermin Aldeguer towards VR46, the new pair of riders could be the returning Enea Bastianini and Daniel Holgado – who will move up from Moto2.

MotoGP 2027, so many changes!
Aprilia has already reconfirmed Marco Bezzecchi and alongside him only awaits the official announcement of Pecco Bagnaia; in Ducati Marc Marquez should continue and next to him will be Pedro Acosta; in Honda HRC therefore Fabio Quartararo and David Alonso, in Yamaha Jorge Martin and alongside him negotiations are underway with Luca Marini, in KTM there will be Alex Marquez and Maverick Vinales.
In the satellite teams, therefore, at Ducati VR46 there will be Fermin Aldeguer and Fabio Di Giannantonio cannot but be indicated as a possible reconfirmation. At Ducati Gresini, Enea Bastianini and Daniel Holgado are headed, while Honda LCR has contracts for next year with Johann Zarco and Diogo Moreira. All the official announcements of the team changes are missing, and the last boxes to be filled will be those of Aprilia Trackhouse, Yamaha Pramac and KTM Tech3.
