In the heart of the city that in 1903 gave birth to Itala, two brands that disappeared from the automotive scene decades ago come together, for the first time, with the entire launch range. At the Auto Show in Turin, scheduled until Sunday, September 13, between Piazza Castello, Piazzetta Reale and the Royal Museums Gardens, Itala and O.S.C.A. exhibit five cars in prototype form and preview the next steps of the relaunch project desired by Massimo Di Risio.
After the debut of the Itala 35 at MAUTO and the world presentation of the O.S.C.A. MT6 at the Enzo and Dino Ferrari Circuit in Imola, the Turin event becomes the first unified stage. Alongside the two “progenitors” are the flagship Itala 61 and two full hybrid concepts, Itala 56 and O.S.C.A. MT8, the latter unveiled in its final form precisely on the occasion of the Show.
The liveries already tell the two identities. The Itala wear a satin anthracite designed to emphasize elegance and innovation; the O.S.C.A. a dark red that recalls, in a contemporary key, the color of the racing cars with which the Maserati brothers’ brand accumulated about a thousand victories in twenty years of activity.
Itala 35, back in the “living room”
The Itala 35, compact Cross-Styler and first model of the relaunch, returns to the city where the brand was born and where once Queen Margherita of Savoy was among the most illustrious customers. The name evokes the 35/45 HP winner of the 1907 Beijing-Paris race. Interiors in Alcantara and leather from Italian tanneries, 20-inch diamond-cut wheels with Pirelli P Zero tires, panoramic roof, second-level ADAS and an “all-inclusive” trim are the distinctive features.
At launch it mounts a 1.5 TGDI: over 190 km/h top speed, 0-100 km/h in 7.5 seconds, declared average consumption of 6.8 l/100 km. Retail price: 35,000 euros, customization excluded.
O.S.C.A. MT6, the first “Sportover”
The MT6 inaugurates what the company defines as a new species: the Sportover, a compact coupe crossover with a sporty character. 21-inch wheels, Pirelli P Zero tires, dedicated suspension, upgraded brakes, sports seats in Alcantara and Italian leather and an engine refined by the brand’s technicians to align power and delivery with the racing spirit of O.S.C.A., born in 1947 from Bindo, Ettore and Ernesto Maserati. Deliveries expected from September, at 49,000 euros all included.

Itala 61, the flagship nearly five meters long
Almost five meters, seven seats, permanent predictive all-wheel drive, Head-Up Display and third-row seats that recline and fold electrically: the Itala 61 sits at the top of the range. 2.0 TGDI engine with 231 HP and eight-speed automatic transmission. Style detail: a bag in fine leather embedded in the tailgate, a nod to the brand’s historic sedans. 22-inch wheels and again Pirelli P Zero.
Two concepts for 2027: hybrid and classy sportiness
After the internal combustion models, intended to pay homage to the history of the two brands, Itala and O.S.C.A. envision electrification. The Itala 56 Full Hybrid, a medium-sized Cross-Styler, combines a 2.0 turbo with an electric motor for a combined power exceeding 230 HP. It will be joined by the 1.5 TGDI version expected in autumn.
In absolute preview, the O.S.C.A. MT8 shows the final lines. A 4.87-meter coupe crossover, “classy Sportover” and future flagship of the brand, it anticipates for 2027 a full hybrid with over 300 combined HP. At launch, the 2.0 TGDI will remain, also with predictive all-wheel drive. Carbon fiber, sports seats, 22-inch wheels and dark red livery link the model to the racing tradition. In 2027 a sports car is also expected for O.S.C.A.’s 80th anniversary.
Fabbrica Italia and the Italian supply chain
The presence at the Show is a stage of the Historic Italian Brands project. Behind it is Fabbrica Italia, the company born to design, develop, industrialize and produce models starting from technological platforms and generating value in the territory. Two new plants in Macchia d’Isernia, in Molise: the first is starting up. Design with Italdesign, Pirelli tires, MAK wheels, electronics and infotainment with RE:LAB and ART. Other partnerships will be announced with the inauguration of the plant.
The BiAuto Group, already partner of the first showroom opened in Turin for the launch of the 35, supports the two brands during the event. In Via Bologna 102, in the heart of the city, dedicated events and test drives allow experiencing the customer experience firsthand. VB
