How many references to Schumi

We told you in recent days how Ferrari is preparing for the Italian GP in Monza, scheduled for next September 6, a tribute livery dedicated to the 30th anniversary of Michael Schumacher‘s 1996 victory. A heartfelt dedication to the driver who more than anyone else brought triumphs and glory to the Prancing Horse brand. However, the celebrations have already begun and today, with a video published on its social channels, Ferrari revealed the suits that Lewis Hamilton and Charles Leclerc will wear during the weekend on the Brianza circuit.

Compared to the colors of recent years, in this case the suit will be entirely red – as Schumacher’s was during his first season in Maranello – but with two explicit references to the German champion; the first will be the seven stars representing the seven World Championships won by Schumacher in his career. The stars, which adorned Schumacher’s helmet during his career, are now reproduced on the back of the suit – above the drivers’ names – and on the shoes.

Prominently displayed on the right side of the suit then, just below the driver’s number, appears the historic logo that accompanied the entire sporting career of the Kaiser, with the stylized F1 car and the name Michael Schumacher. Two iconic references that the Maranello team hopes to honor best on track.
